In February 1996, Rick Murry laid the foundation for T-Shirt Alley, a premier screen-printing shop. As the years unfolded, he identified a demand for embroidered goods. Responding to this trend, Rick acquired a single-head embroidery machine, later expanding to a formidable 4-head machine.
Driven by the pursuit of excellence, T-Shirt Alley evolved into Murry West. The journey included a strategic relocation from the original downtown New Albany site to a more expansive facility located in New Albany, Mississippi serving all of North East Mississippi and the southeast region, exclusively dedicated to the artistry of embroidery. This transition not only accommodated the growing demand but also allowed for increased capacity to handle larger orders. Today, Murry West stands as a dynamic and continually flourishing business, boasting nearly 50 embroidery heads and a fleet of sewing machines meticulously employed in the creation of our signature patch hats. With our foundational team in place, carrying forward the legacy ignited by Rick, we set our sights on new horizons. At Murry West, the spirit of "Go West" propels us into the future, where boundless opportunities await.
OUR STORY
WHAT DOES MURRY WEST MEAN?
Murry West was the name we decided to go with for multiple reasons. Being a family business we knew we wanted the “Murry” name to be incorporated. The “west” part of Murry West was decided upon to represent the setting sun in the west and the new opportunities to come—and hey it sounds pretty cool too!
